Bobby Harris, a sophomore at UNF, was eliminated from U.S. Olympic trials Sunday evening. In the final round of men’s high jump trials, Harris failed on three attempts to make the first jump of 2.16 meters. Harris needed to finish in the top three in order to land a spot at the Rio games.
Harris is the first-ever active Osprey to qualify for Olympic trials. In addition, he holds multiple school records and qualified in May for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminaries.
