FAMU (18-25, 16-25, 21-25)

UNF lost to FAMU in three straight sets, to give the Rattlers their ninth straight win. The last time the Rattlers lost was on Sept. 20 to the Ospreys.

No Osprey had double figures in kills. Carrine Turner had a team- high seven kills, and teammates Erin Edwards and Katarina Raicevic both earned six kills for the Ospreys.

Kimberly Ferguson, senior defensive specialist, had a team-high 10 digs in addition to two aces.

FAMU (12-11) had 11 aces that the Ospreys had no answer for. It’s the second highest allowed by North Florida this season.

The teams were nearly even when it came to kills, with FAMU knotting 36 kills to UNF’s 33, but the hitting percentage made the difference. The Osprey’s hitting percentage was .178 to the Rattler’s .349.

FAMU led all three sets over North Florida (15-10 overall, 5-3 ASUN) with the third and final set being the closest of the night. It came down to a UNF serve just beyond the service line to seal the win for the Rattlers.

Next UNF will face FGCU in an ASUN matchup on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in the UNF Arena.
