NASA Astronaut coming to UNF

Nicole Stott

Nicole Stott, a NASA astronaut and artist, will be speaking at UNF’s Center for Advancement of Women in Engineering fourth annual Women Leaders in STEM Conference. The conference will take place during International Women’s Week.

Stott will share her experiences as an astronaut in space, supporting STEM, and about the inclusion of women in the field. She had spent 27 years with NASA.

Following Stott, there will be a panel with important female engineering leaders and a networking event. The women will talk about their adventures as engineers and how they have gained esteem as women in a male oriented profession.

The conference is at 9 a.m. on Mar. 6 at the Herbert University Center. The lecture is free and is open to the public. People can register for e-tickets here.
