UNF students and employees can now change and see their preferred name in Canvas.

The preferred name will be reflected in UNF email and the learning management systems, according to the University. Preferred names are still not being displayed in class rosters used by faculty. However, the University states that work is being done to get this going.

Students may provide a preferred name through the office of the University Registrar and faculty and staff may do so through Human Resources.  The University still reserves the right to remove a preferred name if it is used inappropriately or for misrepresentation.
