Ospreys lose 2-0 in game two of soccer doubleheader

The Ospreys lost a 2-0 bout to Appalachian State on Sunday night

Appalachian State’s ability to capitalize on opportunities ultimately won the match Sunday night against the Ospreys.

Camden Holbrook got the Mountaineers on the board first in the 55th minute with a scorching goal on the left side of the net.

Alex Hernandez added onto the lead by capitalizing on a muffed pickup by UNF’s Sophomore goalkeeper Padraic Gilley and shot the ball to the right corner of the net for a goal.

For the Ospreys, Junior midfielder Mikey Connell recorded two shots on goal for the Ospreys. Padraic Gilley earned two saves between the posts.

The Ospreys next match is on the road in Statesboro as they take on Georgia Southern on Friday, Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
