The UNF Pride Club will be hosting the semi-annual Charity Drag Show to benefit local LGBTQ youth, JASMYN (Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network). The mission is to nurture and provide a safe space to enhance pride and self-esteem. The drag show takes place Thursday March 3 at 7 p.m. at the Boathouse. UNF Pride will preview this event by performing a march around the general campus core, dressed in drag or advertising the “No Hate Campaign.”
Biology Department presents special presentation on the impacts of oil spill
The Department of Biology will present the Brotman Family Coastal Biologu Lecture Series and Florida Sea Grant Elise B. Newell Seminar Series March 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the University Center. Dr. Irving A. Mendelssohn from Louisiana State University will be on campus to present “Oil Impacts and Wetland Recover: An Ecologist’s Perspective.” The event is free and open to the public.
