President Szymanski announces new Vice President of Data Analytics

Jay Coleman, the Associate Provost at UNF, has been named as the Vice President of Data Analytics. UNF President David Szymanski announced on Friday, Nov. 2 his final decision on who would fill the new position.

In his new role, Coleman will serve as a liaison to the Board of Trustees and the Florida Board of Governors on issues associated with the metrics.

Coleman’s history at UNF includes being a chair of the Department of Management, Marketing and Logistics, as well as being an associate dean of the Coggin College of Business.

According to the announcement, Sherif Elfayoumy, School of Computing director, and Dan Richard, faculty enhancement director, will be working with Coleman to form an institutional analytics team, which will include faculty consultants from different areas at UNF.

Coleman’s appointment runs until August 2020.
