Nov. 6 the Ninth Amendment on the Florida 2018 ballot has been passed which concludes the use of vapes and e-cigarettes indoors and the end of drilling offshore.

With the passing of this amendment, Floridians will see the drilling for oil and natural gas moved from the shoreline. This amendment applies to the beaches and waters 10 miles off Florida’s Gulf coast and three miles off Florida’s Atlantic coast, according to the Florida BAR Journal. “No exploration” includes no loud underwater seismic testing that causes both beaching and death to dolphins and whales.

Along with the prohibition of oil and gas drilling, the passing this amendment ends vaping, or the use of an electronic-cigarette will be prohibited from being used in places where cigarette smoke is currently banned.
