LaNier is the youngest member of “Little Rock Nine,” an African American student group that integrated Arkansas’ Central High School in 1957 after the U. S. Supreme Court ruling in Brown vs. Board of Education.

The luncheon’s goal is to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and awards scholarships to students who demonstrate leadership and service that reflect Dr. King’s teachings.

There are a limited amount of free tickets for student that are valid with their Osprey1card.
