Tracking Dorian: UNF closes all residential housing, moves remaining students

At 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 2, UNF announced it will be closing all residential housing and the Osprey Cafe at noon tomorrow in anticipation of Hurricane Dorian. In the alert, UNF also urges students leave campus “as soon as possible if they have a safe place to travel to and stay.”

Remaining students will be moved into the Osprey Fountains beginning 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. UNF Housing and Residence Life will be sending instructions directly to all residential students.

Hurricane Dorian is expected to be a Category 3 when it is off the coast of Jacksonville on Wednesday. Classes and activities are cancelled through Wednesday, September 4.
