Have you tried getting on Facebook this morning? If so, you might have seen this error message:

Around 10:30 a.m., Instagram posted to Twitter about the outages, promising that they were working to get everything up and going soon. At the time, it appears Facebook, Instagram and Messenger had already been down for around an hour, according to DownDetector. An uptick in reports of outage began around 9 a.m.

We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook’s family of apps, including Instagram. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. #InstagramDown

While some people are upset by the outage, others are taking this opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with those near and dear to them, rather than glance at social media.

Facebook seems to be working for most people as of 1 p.m., although there are still reports of outage according to DownDetector.
