A theft and a sick person: Police Beat for the week of August 3

August 2 Theft (Osprey Fountains) – The officers met with the victim who said his laptop was stolen from his unlocked room while he was at the pool. His roommates said they were in their rooms with the doors locked and that they did not see anything. A further canvass was not conducted, due to moveout confusion. Patrol efforts are suspended.

August 3 Injured Person (Building 26) – An officer met with the injured person, who said she had fallen during a photograph session with her family. She was transported to the Mayo Clinic.

August 3 Sick Person (Building 5) – An officer met with the victim who was having trouble forming sentences and remembering what she had told him. Employees in the area said she is a diabetic and wa having trouble maintaining her blood sugar, lately. The victim was transported to the Mayo Clinic.
