Student accused of fraud

Logo-policebeatFeb. 28 Fraud (Complainant’s office) – Officers met with a member of UNF’s staff who believed a student had committed fraud by forging an outside client’s signature. Police met with the victim of the fraud, who stated that he could not confirm the signature was his. However, he said had retired from the organization before the date indicated on the allegedly forged document. The State Attorney’s Office required that the original forged document be presented, but the staff member was unable to provide any evidence. The case has been closed and the staff member was advised to refer the student employee to the Student Conduct Office.
