UNF released this alert to students in anticipation of a prescribed burn Thursday:
A prescribed burn is planned for 9 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, June 13. It will take place in the far southwestern corner of the Sawmill Slough Preserve. Smoke is expected to be comparatively low and the forecast for wind dispersion of the smoke is good. If conditions remain favorable, the prescribed burn will proceed as scheduled.
