Sept. 27 Senate Meeting Highlights
By Alexis McCartney
The UNF Organic Project recently requested more funding to attend an environmental leadership conference called “Power Shift” in Pittsburgh, PA. At this conference, over 10,000 students will have the opportunity to learn leadership skills from different environmental activists and civil rights leaders, and attend a career fair. Student registration is $65, while partnered donors like 350 Jacksonville have pledged $1,000. They plan to bus to the convention with students from Florida Atlantic University, which will amount to $8,400. The club requested $1,400, which is $400 shy of what SG already funds them.
It was approved with a 32-0 vote.
