UNF student Jared Snow was charged with two felonies following a Clay County child sex sting.
According to a Clay County report, Snow was arrested on Oct. 13 for traveling to meet a minor and engage in an unlawful sex act, a second degree felony charge.
Snow, a criminal justice senior, was registered for classes but withdrew from all of them on Oct. 16.
Snow was also charged for using a cell phone to communicate with and find the minor, which is a third degree felony.
On Oct. 9, the Clay County Sheriff’s office began an online investigation to find suspects who use the Internet to sexually exploit children and meet them in person.
Through the investigation, 17 male suspects, aged 20 to 53, were charged with traveling to meet a minor for sex and using a cell phone to communicate with them.
Clay’s case is set to be reviewed on Nov. 13.
