The following information is according to a report from the UNF Police Department.
A UNF student was arrested for multiple drug and paraphernalia charges on Sept. 4. An officer was called to the Osprey Cove because an RA smelled marijuana coming from a room. The officer was given verbal consent by the suspect to enter the dorm.
After the officer asked the suspect to hand over anything illegal in his possession, the suspect handed over: two multi-colored glass bongs, three multi-colored glass pipes, one blue and one silver metal marijuana grinders, three clear glass containers containing marijuana, one prescription bottle containing marijuana, one launch box vaporizer, one metal grinder card, two e-cigarettes with marijuana residue, one metal pipe key chain and two metal cylinders containing marijuana residue.
In addition to the marijuana paraphernalia, the suspect also gave the officer three Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills, one fragment of Ritalin, and two pills of Tramadol, a pain relief drug.
The student was issued two felony charges for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, two misdemeanor charges for possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
