Jersey Mike’s Subs in Tinseltown is holding a fundraiser between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. on May 29 in honor of UNF student and previous employee John C. Leone.
Leone, an accounting major, was also an assistant manager at Jersey Mike’s.
Lisa Michael, director for marketing and events at Jersey Mike’s, said the fundraiser is sponsored in part by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. The fundraiser is meant to honor the memory of Leone, who died after being struck by a drunk driver in April.
During the fundraiser, 20 percent of Jersey Mike’s sales will go to the John C. Leone Scholarship Fund.
