Morken finished in seventh place during the 29th annual Mountain Dew Invitational with a meet time of 25:14.5. He had the fastest ASUN time of the meet and helped the Ospreys earn first place overall. This is Morken’s first ASUN Conference Men’s Runner of the Week Award.

“Nick did a great job of working together with the group to keep the pack tight,” said Head Coach Jeff Pigg. “He is a team-first guy and that unselfish attitude makes the guys around him better.”

On the women’s side, UNF Senior Eden Meyer finished in first place with a time of 17:09.4, beating out second place by 12 seconds.

She helped the Ospreys claim second place out of 15 Division I teams. This is Meyer’s fifth time earning the ASUN Conference Women’s Runner of the Week Award, which moves her into a tie for fourth-most awarded in conference history.

“Eden is very focused and working hard as usual this season,” Pigg said. “She had another solid race, staying in control while running fast.”

The coach said he believes she will continue to improve throughout the season. The UNF Cross Country schedule can be found here.
