UNF College Democrats host Election Night watch party

UNF College Democrats rang in election day with a watch party at the UNF Boathouse on Aug. 28.

It was announced at 9:17 p.m. that Andrew Gillum won the Democratic primary and will run for Florida Governor in November.

“It is absolutely the story of an underdog,” College Democrats Vice President Lisette Guerra told Spinnaker. “He started fifth in the polls, and now it’s called. He is our candidate.”

Guerra said that she is excited to get to work with rallying for Gillum.

The general election will be taking place on Nov. 6, 2018.
