UNF Ospreys Vs. Kennesaw State

The Ospreys look to get their first conference win of the season against Kennesaw State on Sunday, Sept. 30. Ranking seventh in the conference with a 0-2-1 record a win would have bumped them up to fourth place.

Ospreys Started strong scoring two unanswered goals in the 1st half.  In the 22nd minute Brandi Walker scored off of an assist by Thais Reiss.  The 2nd Goal came from Kelli Crowley in a penalty Kick in the 39th minute.  

Ospreys lead at half time 2-0.  Then Kennesaw State took over in the second half.  Isabella Contreras scored in the 48th and the 49th minute both goals were assisted by Erin Harris.  

The game went into Overtime after regulation tie at 2-2 and in the 101st minute Kennesaw State’s Kendall Higgs scored assisted by Morgan Harrison to win the game.  

“We learned that we need to stay locked in,” Brandi Walker said.  “We are locked in and will be ready to play JU on Saturday.”

The UNF Ospreys take on town rival Jacksonville University on Saturday at 7 p.m.
