UNF Athletes, then and now: Dallas Moore

There have been numerous student athletes from UNF who have gone on pursue their dreams of continuing their career professionally, Dallas Moore did just that after graduating from North Florida.

Former UNF basketball standout, Dallas Moore, played all four years for the Ospreys. During that time, he transformed from a promising talent to a nationally recognized star. According to UNF Athletics, Moore increased in points average over his career from 12.5 to 23.9. In 2015, Moore was a instrumental part in helping the Ospreys win the ASUN title and a bid to participate in the NCAA Tournament.

Moore has also been a recipient of numerous awards such as ASUN Player of the Year (2016, 2017), AP All-America Honorable Mention (2016, 2017) and All-ASUN First Team (2015-17). He also led the nation in Field Goals Made (FGM), led the ASUN in scoring (23.9 PPG) and set a UNF and ASUN record of scoring 812 points. Moore would finish in multiple statistical categories of All-Time at UNF such as points, points per game, assists, and  steals.


Moore plays overseas currently for the Israeli team Hapoel Tel Aviv. Prior to joining Tel Aviv, Moore started his professional career in Italy playing for the Consultinvest Pesaro basketball team. According to basket-reference.com, Moore averaged 18.7 points per game along with 2.2 assists, and 2.8 rebounds in his season with Pesaro.
