The University of North Florida sent out a Special Edition Osprey Update on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 9 declaring that the University will “continue to operate on a normal schedule” in light of Hurricane Michael.

“Jacksonville is expected to experience rain and wind,” the update said. “Physical Facilities has been preparing the campus by clearing storm drains, which will help alleviate standing water.”

The update also encouraged Ospreys to get the Safe Ospreys app for smartphones and affirmed that UNF’s Crisis Management team will continue to monitor Hurricane Michael.

Spinnaker will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available.
