YouNF Week offers programs to celebrate diversity

The Student Alliance for Inclusion and Diversity is opening the “YouNF Week” series of programs and activities to celebrate diversity and inclusion. “YouNF” aims to bring the student body together and kickstart real conversation and creativity with five events across campus.

Monday featured a service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Tuesday will host “SAID Talks: Being a Student of Color at a PWI (Predominantly White Institution)” which will showcase experiences of racially and ethnically diverse Ospreys.

The Unity Table, which takes place on Wednesday, will be a place for shared meals and conversation. Thursday night brings games, food, and fun with the evening YOUnity Fest, and Friday caps the week off with the open floor “Friday Lounge: #Unfiltered,” offering chances for all attendees to stand up and talk to find more of what makes them uniquely “them.”

SAID is inviting every student to attend at least one event and join others in promoting diversity and inclusion at UNF.
