How UNF students feel about the border crisis

A recent photo of a migrant father and his daughter laying deceased in the Rio Grande River after an attempt to cross the border from Mexico into the United States has become what others describe as a heartbreaking symbol of the Trump administration’s policies at the southern border.

As the photo circulated around social media, Democrats in the house were working to pass a $4.5 billion humanitarian aid bill to alleviate the plight of migrants at the border but the Republican-led Senate passed their version of the bill, approving a $4.6 billion package to pay for some of the costs of the surge of migrants crossing the southern border.

Spinnaker wanted to find out what UNF students thought about what one UNF student referred to as the “humanitarian crisis” at hand.
