Thinking about going to graduate school? Considering the earning power, career advancement and personal/academic growth that accompany a master’s degree, what’s holding you back? Luckily, the UNF Graduate School is about to make that decision a whole lot easier. Yes, it will still take dedication and hard work, but UNF is taking much of the stress away from students interested in graduate school. In fact, there’s a very good chance you can get into your program faster and pay less –a lot less– for your master’s degree.
UNF offers over 44 graduate degrees and certificates, and get this– the UNF Graduate School provides UNF undergraduate students the unique opportunity for a seamless and affordable transition into a master’s program.
A part of what makes the graduate school the perfect fit for UNF students pursuing a master’s degree is the UNF+ Pathways to Success program. The program allows students to complete the requirements for both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in one of the approved programs at an accelerated rate.
There’s more good news. UNF+ Pathways also offers express applications to eligible students who want to enter one of the School’s approved graduate programs. By omitting requirements, such as those expensive application fees, the dreaded GRE and the time-consuming letters of recommendation, the program simultaneously cuts the cost of what can often be a pricey decision.
“Because we recognize the value that a graduate degree provides, we want to make it as easy as possible for UNF undergraduates to also earn a master’s degree,” said Dr. John Kantner, Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Vice Principal for Research. “For students with a great record, the UNF+ Pathways initiative allows them to quickly apply for a UNF graduate program, and if accepted, we promise them a special graduate tuition rate that is the lowest in the State University System — saving our students $4,000 or more on a degree that will earn them higher salaries.”
One UNF student who recently graduated with her B.A. is now enrolled in the communications management graduate program. She says the decision to immediately enroll in the master’s program was a no-brainer. “UNF made the process so easy, and I knew how much a master’s would enhance my overall future opportunities. There’s no doubt, I made the right decision.”
Whether you’re new to UNF or a currently enrolled undergraduate looking to take your academic career to the next level, the UNF Graduate School marks every checkbox for being the optimal place to earn a master’s degree.
