The Brooks College of Health’s Master of Health Administration has been making big waves nationally.

The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education, or CAHME, has inducted UNF’s Health Administration program into their Mentorship Circle, which is an elite group of schools whose programs excel in mentorship and practices. UNF is one of just 23 schools who have been awarded this honor.

Following this recent accreditation, the president of CAHME, Anthony Stanowski, has asked UNF to assist his alma mater, Drexel University, in becoming accredited within their Master of Health Administration program.

“To be asked to help was a huge honor,” said Dr. Rob Haley, professor at the Brooks College of Health and director of the MHA program.

This program was also tasked with creating an extension on Canvas that would help both students and professors track the students progress in their program. UNF was the first school to implement this electronically. CAHME has asked if UNF’s MHA program could help write a guide for other schools to implement this same technology.

“It’s great that our program is getting national recognition,” said Dr. Haley. “There’s so much opportunity in health care in our area and they need so much leadership that our students always get jobs.”
