Step-by-step guide to moving in on campus

Nathan Turoff, Features Editor

Spring semester starts tomorrow and there may be a great deal of confusion and misinformation about the protocols in place regarding the required testing. Spinnaker has created a step-by-step guide to ensure you are all set to safely return to campus, if you are doing so.

STEP 1: Check your UNF email in MyWings.

If you reside in any on-campus housing, you will receive an email from Housing and Residence Life explaining how all returning students who live on campus will be required to take a COVID-19 test administered by the University. It also includes other pertinent information such as the procedure if you test positive.

STEP 2: Make an appointment to be tested, if not done already.

The email also explains how the University will be offering COVID tests to all students from tomorrow until Friday, Jan. 8. These tests are being done by appointment only, so if you show up without an appointment, you will not be tested.

STEP 3: Show up at your scheduled appointment and get tested.

The testing is being conducted at Building 26, the Field House. For incoming freshmen, or students whose knowledge of the UNF campus may be rusty after a long break and/or quarantine, this is the blue building Between the Arena and the Student Wellness Complex, just North of the Student Union buildings (see map below).

Screenshot taken from UNF Interactive Map, the Field House is the large blue building in the center.

Spinnaker will keep following COVID-19 protocols implemented by the school.
