UNF parties announce presidential candidates

With Student Government elections getting closer, the two main parties at UNF — the Red Party and the United Party — have released their Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees.

The Red Party announced their nominees on Jan. 12. Samantha Mims is their presidential candidate, with Taj Johnson running as the vice presidential candidate. On the party’s Facebook page, they announced that they “are both experienced leaders and highly dedicated to the betterment of our campus.”

The United Party announced their nominees on Jan. 13. Rachel Bryant is their presidential candidate, while Jesse Braughton is the vice presidential candidate. The United Party is campaigning this election with the slogan “people, not politics,” according to their Facebook page.   

SG elections will take place on March 7 and 8.
