With a packed UNF Arena, the UNF women’s volleyball team defeated Jacksonville University in the River City Rumble on Oct. 24 with a final score of 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-15).
Head Coach Steve Loeswick acknowledged that there are quite a few good teams in the league and JU is one of them. “This is always an intense match,” Loeswick said, “We made a few extra plays tonight to get the win.”
UNF finished the third set with a 4-0 run. Tessa Alyman, UNF junior, contributed three-straight kills to start that run, with Erin Edwards, UNF sophomore, sealing the win for the Ospreys with the final point.

This weekend, starting in Spartanburg, S.C., the Ospreys will play their last two road matches of the season. The team will face University of South Carolina Upstate on Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. and then travel to Kennesaw, Ga. to battle Kennesaw State on Nov. 1 at 3 p.m.
