Following a disappointing performance Monday night, UNF grad Beau Beech tallied 13 points, including seven straight points to end the first quarter, for the Brooklyn Nets in the Las Vegas Summer League Tuesday night.
Beech played just under 16 minutes, but was the Net’s second-leading scorer in the team’s 87-85 loss to the Washington Wizards. He went 3-8 from three-point range, and all 13 of his points came within a four-minute span in the first half.

Two turnovers to begin the second quarter, and occasional slow-footed mistakes on defense were the only blemishes to an otherwise good performance.
Through three games, Beech has 25 points, five three-pointers, and 11 rebounds.
The Nets next game will be Thursday, in the second round of tournament play in Las Vegas.
