Turnovers and paint play continue to plague North Florida as they lost to Florida Gulf Coast for the second time this season,69-46.

With this win, FGCU (19-7, ASUN 8-1) swept UNF (8-16, ASUN 1-8) during this year’s series.

Turnovers have been torturing the Ospreys for most of the season. UNF had 26 turnovers and FGCU capitalized turning those into 31 points.

Paint play also hurt North Florida. The Ospreys was outscored in the paint by 24 points.

Claire Ioannidis was the only Osprey to score in double-digits, netting 13 points in addition to dishing out one assist.

The Eagles had three players in double-digits for the night.

UNF knew what shots they could make and took them, shooting 47 percent from the field, but they simply did not take enough of them costing the Ospreys the games 46-69.

Next UNF faces USC Upstate on Saturday during the homecoming game on Saturday Feb. 11. Tip off is at 1 p.m. in the UNF arena.
