The women’s golf team fought hard during the NCAA Athens Regional, as they shot 302, their tournament best. But with a 16th finish out of 18 it was not enough to extend their season.

Senior Nathalie Nygren finished the highest of the Ospreys with a final score of 223 (+7). This performance earned her the 30th slot. Freshman pair Sydney Merchant and Sydney Shrader shot an identical 230 (+14) each while at the UGA Golf Course.

On day one, the Ospreys were tied for 13th before sliding further down the scoreboard.

The Ospreys finished at 56 over par, ending their 2016-17 campaign. The team looks to regroup during summer break before gearing up for the 2017-18 golf season.
