
On Aug. 14, UNFPD and Jacksonville Fire Rescue responded to a call regarding a golf cart that crashed against a fire hydrant on campus.
According to the police report, a UNF employee was driving the golf cart on the sidewalk, when the metal bracket that secures the window frame hit a fire hydrant. This caused the golf cart to stop abruptly, injuring the employee. Â
The employee injured his nose, face, back, left arm, left shin and toe. He was taken to Baptist Hospital by Jacksonville Fire Rescue for medical attention.
