Colubiale named ASUN Player of the Week

Women’s soccer player Krista Colubiale earned her first ASUN Player of The Week recognition after her late-game heroics pushed the Ospreys 2-1 in double overtime over crosstown rival the Jacksonville Dolphins.

During the match, the junior forward, had one goal and one assists under the bright lights of Southern Oak Stadium on Sept.23.

Her assist to freshman teammate Thais Reiss in the second half allowed North Florida to tie the game 1-1 on the road.

With the score deadlocked at 1 and sent to double overtime, Colubiale broke the stalemate. At the 106 minute mark, she kicked the winning goal into the upper right corner of the net for the 2-1 victory.

Colubiale now has scored two game-winning goals for the 2017 season.
