You’re not imagining that smoky smell outside.

If you notice smoke around campus, it’s not vape clouds. A prescribed burn is taking place between the south UNF entrance and I-295 Wednesday.

Prescribed burns are done to reduce the possibility of larger wildfires, and there have been over eight performed in Jacksonville since the beginning of 2018.
