Recent UNF graduate Emanuel (Manny) Hernandez Jr. was killed in a car accident on June 27. His death came as a shock to loved ones after he recovered from a traumatic brain injury that resulted from a different car accident 12 years ago.

Hernandez, 30, was reportedly driving home from church when he died as a result of the car accident on Wednesday night.

Hernandez graduated with a degree in Sports Management and worked as a Fan Experience Representative for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

His family has started a fundraiser to assist with the funeral costs, as well as the travel costs to bring immediate family members to Jacksonville from Puerto Rico. $3,560 have been raised at the time of publication.
