Recently, schools.com rated UNF as one of the top 10 colleges for a nutrition degree program. UNF’s Nutrition and Dietetics Flagship Program ranked number eight overall on the list for the upcoming 2018-2019 academic year.

The Flagship Program received national attention in October 2017 after former President Bill Clinton visited UNF to see the new Center for Nutrition and Food Security. UNF is also known for its Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition program, which is one of only two programs to exist in the U.S.

“Transforming students into competent, ethical and compassionate professionals who value lifelong learning, service to the community and leadership is the passion that drives our program,” Chair Judith Rodriguez of the nutrition and dietetics department said. “Our faculty is active in national leadership, collaborative community projects and engaging students using cutting-edge approaches to learning.”

Schools.com rated the colleges by organizing data provided to them by the National Center for Education Statistics and uniquely ranked the colleges using an individualized methodology for each institution.

Students can read more about these rankings in the official press release.
