UNF alum Cord Byrd re-elected in Florida House District 11

Republican candidate Cord Byrd was re-elected in District 11 of the Florida House of Representatives.

Byrd, who received his bachelor’s degree from UNF, was first elected to the seat in 2016. In his time in office, he has served on the committee for Public Integrity and Ethics.

According to his campaign website, Byrd’s primary policy goals include cutting taxes, protecting Constitutional rights such as the Second Amendment, and promoting public safety.

As a member of the Florida House of Representatives, Byrd will vote on bills that affect public policy matters, state spending levels, raising and lowering taxes, and upholding or overriding gubernatorial vetoes.
