Ospreys bats silenced in 1-0 loss to Lipscomb

In an ASUN pitchers duel, Senior Chris Kachmar’s complete game shutout prevented the Ospreys from mustering any offense in a 1-0 road loss.

Senior Zeke Dodson gave the Bisons an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a double to left that scored one.

Both pitchers tossed gems as Senior Brad Depperman of UNF went eight innings, punching out seven, allowed three hits and one earned run.

Kachmar delivered a complete game shutout, allowing no runs on four hits and four strikeouts.

The Ospreys couldn’t drum up any runs throughout the game which resulted in a 1-0 loss.

Worth Noting

After swiping his fifteenth stolen base of the year, Redshirt-Senior Wes Weeks reached third all-time for career stolen bases at UNF with his brother, Drew Weeks (30).  

Junior Tanner Murphy recorded the only multi-hit game for the Ospreys (2).

The loss drops UNF to 26-19 (8-7 ASUN) and the win improves Lipscomb to 25-20 (9-7 ASUN).

Both squads face off again on Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m.
