Tracking Dorian: Category 4 upon landfall
August 30, 2019
Hurricane Dorian continues to strengthen and is now a Category 4. The hurricane is expected to still be a Category 4 upon landfall on Florida’s coast late Monday or Tuesday morning. To be clear, Dorian is not expected to hit Jax until Wednesday, and when it does it will likely be a Category 2.
According to CBS, Dorian could very well be the strongest storm to hit Florida in 27 years. If you have not yet already, please make preparations and know your evacuation zone. You can find a prep list here.
Reminder: There will be no classes or activities over the weekend and through at least Tuesday.
