Mascots are the ultimate hype machines for any sports team whether it’s Gritty of the Philadelphia Flyers or the Jaguars’ Jaxson de Ville.

UNF is currently looking for the next person to don the beak and feathers and will be holding open tryouts on Wednesday, September 18 at the UNF Arena from 5:30-7 p.m.

UNF’s Assistant Director of Marketing, Logan Owle, talked about what UNF Athletics is looking for in the next Ozzie.

“We are looking for someone who is very enthusiastic, loves sports, knows how to dance, and enjoys making fans smile,” Owle said.

Owle also mentioned that the primary contact for students who are inquiring about tryouts is UNF’s Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing, Kaitlin Parsons, for more information at [email protected].
