The University of North Florida LGBT Resource Center will host a safe space training session on Friday, Sept.14 at 11:30 a.m. The event will be held at the John A. Delaney Student Union in Rm. 3806 and go until 2 p.m.

Attendees will learn terminology and safe methods to communicate effective strategies to help reduce homophobia and heterosexism on campus. Safe space cultural and competency training is offered, through partnership, with the Center for Professional Development and Training.

All those completing this three-hour session will receive a Safe Space sticker and an invitation to become a Safe Space affiliate.

UNF is one of only six university-based LGBT centers in Florida with an LGBT resource center and a full-time staff.

The official UNF calendar page for this event can be found here.
