UNF to host annual music extravaganza

The University of North Florida’s Department of Music will host the Eighth Annual Jacksonville SINGS! Finale Concert which will be held on Sept. 29 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lazzara Performance Hall in the Fine Arts Center.

This year’s featured artist will be Cara Tasher, director of choral studies at UNF, and the UNF Jazz Combo, Brass and Percussion Ensembles and Chorale.

Also scheduled to perform are Tesfa Wondemagegnehu, who is the 2018 guest clinician. He serves as the conductor of the Viking Chorus and the Chapel Choir at St. Olaf College. Collaborative keyboard artist, Sachiko Frampton and the Jacksonville SINGS! Middle School Performing Artist and High School Honor Chorus will also be performing.

Ticket prices for the event are $10 for adults, $5 for teachers, seniors and students are free with ID.
