Overview of local Halloween events

Not sure what to do for Halloween? Spinnaker dug through the event calendars to find Halloween-themed events going on around campus and around town!

Howl-O-Ween Barktacular

Are the clubs not your scene? Kaine Social is hosting a Howl-O-Ween for pups on Oct. 29. At 6 p.m. You can bring your dog, dressed in costume, and walk it down the “green carpet.” There will be dog costume contests, food and drinks. Admission is free.

 

The Purge official Halloween party

Social Academy is presenting a Halloween party at Myth Nightclub on Oct. 31, Halloween night. There will be a costume contest with a $1,000 prize. This event is for guests aged 18 and up, and free tickets can be found online.  

 

Stranger Things Trivia

Lola’s Burrito and Burger Joint is presenting a Stranger Things trivia night on Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. Test your knowledge of the Upside-Down and embrace your inner Eleven through your knowledge of Stranger Things. Reserve seats online.

 

Haunted Open House

The Thomas G. Carpenter Library is hosting a haunted haunted house on Halloween, Oct. 31 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Food, games and prizes will be there along with a showcase of the library’s resources.

 

Festival of Frights

UNF Market Days is transforming into the Festival of Frights on Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be food, prizes and games along with a petting zoo.
