Your student email address is changing!

Alex Del Dago, Government Reporter

Student email addresses are getting a makeover. Yes, the confusion of remembering your ospreys email address is ending. UNF student emails will be in the same format as the university email addresses for faculty and staff. Throughout the transition, students will have two UNF mailboxes, their old one that uses “N-number@ospreys.unf.edu” and a new one that uses “N-number@unf.edu.”

Starting Tuesday, May 7, email communication from University systems will be delivered to the @unf.edu accounts only, officially putting an end to the @ospreys.unf.edu emails. Students will click the “Email” tile in MyWings to access their new email account.

To make the transition easier for students, the following steps are encouraged:
Turn on automatic forwarding so any email still being sent to your Ospreys account is redirected to the new unf.edu account
Turn on an “Out of Office” notice that directs email senders to contact them at your new @unf.edu address

Both email accounts will be active for a period of time to enable a smooth transition to the new Office 365 environment.
