Apple announces the discontinuation of iTunes

After it’s long run in the company, Apple announced on Monday that iTunes will no longer be available. According to Bloomberg, the iTunes app has long been overshadowed by  Apple Music.

The replacement? Three new apps for the Mac and for Music, TV and podcasts. According to Bloomberg, Apple users will be able to manage their Apple gadgets through the music app.

Apple has already wiped social networking, including Twitter and Facebook for iTunes clean.

Among other announcements made by Apple, were “Dark mode” for iPhones and new privacy protections like, “Sign in with Apple” and one-time location sharing.
