Ospreys fall in season opener to Badgers

The UNF Women’s Basketball team lost their season opener, 75-62, to the Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday, November 5. 

Jazz Bond struggled on offense in the first game of the season, making only one of her six shots against the Badgers. The ASUN All-Conference Second Team honoree did make an impact in the paint however, contributing nine rebounds and two blocks.

Sophomore guard Tiffany Tolbert made her return to the hardwood and put on a show. The Orlando native led all scoring with 20 points on 7-16 shooting (.438), including three of four from deep. 

Senior guards, Janesha Green and Adrienne Jackson, also made big contributions on offense, combining for 26 points, nine of which came from deep.

The Ospreys will be back home to play Warner on Saturday, November 9 at 1 p.m.
