The UNF Women’s Center sent out a notice this afternoon stating that the 10th annual “Take Back the Night,” originally planned for 7:30 p.m. this evening, has been postponed due to inclement weather brought on by Hurricane Michael, now a Category 4 storm.

The notice stated that “Take Back the Night has been postponed until Spring 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience, but help us spread the word!”

This event is hosted by the UNF Women’s Center and Alpha Chi Omega women’s fraternity and is scheduled every October in observation of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It is aimed at uniting people in taking a stand against domestic violence in honor of lost victims and survivors alike.
