Martinez waives right to speedy trial

Former UNF student, Jesse Martinez, who has been charged with allegedly threatening to share nude photos of another student in exchange for sexual favors and voyeurism, waived his right to a speedy trial on Jan. 24.
Martinez currently faces 17 charges of video voyeurism, one charge of misuse of a two-way communication device, and one charge of extortion. There will be no further charges.
Martinez was arrested back in April of last year. Spinnaker Investigators obtained the jailhouse interview and can be found here.
Another pre-trial date is set for Monday, Feb. 25.
